There was a wonderful sense of fun, laughter, and togetherness at Home Instead Clacton, Frinton and Walton’s ‘Community Singalong’ recently.

We’re lucky to partner with Frinton Community Association to offer these free, monthly events, which are in their second year.  They bring together all ages, to share in the joy of music.

In January local band, Simply Blue, lead us through some much-loved songs.  Their joyful voices helped guests find the sunshine in their lives, singing everything from ‘Hello to Mary Lou’ to ‘Bye, Bye Love’.  The room quickly filled with music, laughter, dancing and smiling faces. Moments like these perfectly capture what our community events are all about: connection, inclusion and shared happiness.

We love delivering these sessions, welcoming those living with dementia, cared for, and carers.  Our friends from local care home, Luff House Pilgrims’ Friend Society, joined the fun.  Their enthusiasm and laughter are always infectious.  We’ve witnessed how singing together breaks down barriers, creates a sense of belonging and offers a rare opportunity to simply enjoy the moment, free from labels or expectations. Music really does have a unique ability to reach people when words alone cannot, often unlocking memories, emotions, and a deep sense of comfort.

Everyone who came along to our first session of 2026 certainly beat the January blues as they headed home with their spirits lifted.
