Barclay Specialist Care is proud to share a positive step forward in supporting staff wellbeing, with the introduction of dedicated menopause support for employees.

Our Menopause Champion, Claire Smith, has recently completed specialist training in menopause awareness. This training has equipped Claire with the knowledge and confidence to provide guidance, support, and a safe space for colleagues experiencing menopause-related symptoms.

As part of this initiative, Claire has implemented quarterly Menopause Support Meetings, with the first session on 21st May 2026. These sessions are designed to offer employees an open and supportive environment where they can come together to discuss their experiences, share how menopause may be impacting them, and explore practical strategies that have helped them manage symptoms.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture, where employees feel comfortable having open conversations about their wellbeing. We recognise that menopause can have a significant impact both personally and professionally, and we are committed to ensuring our staff feel heard, supported, and valued.

By introducing these sessions, we hope to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide meaningful support that enables our team to continue delivering the high standards of care we pride ourselves on.
