Homecare Teams Connect with Families at South of England Show

Trinity Homecare Group brought its three home care brands together at the South of England Show, connecting with families across the region to discuss staying independent at home, planning for future care and opportunities to work in the sector.

The Trinity Homecare Group returned to the South of England Show at the South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex last month, fielding teams from all three of its home care brands and using one of the region's largest community events as a direct line to the families it serves.

Country Cousins met visitors on Friday, Patricia White's on the Saturday, and Trinity Homecare on the Sunday, giving the group a rare three-day presence and a broad snapshot of what people across the South East are asking for when it comes to care.

The common thread, teams reported, was a clear and growing appetite for care that allows older people to stay independent in their own homes. Conversations ranged from families planning ahead for future care needs, to those navigating more urgent and difficult situations, to people exploring careers in care.

"Attending one of the South East's most celebrated community events was a real pleasure. It gave our team the chance to meet local families and connect with people from right across the region. What stayed with me was how many visitors wanted to talk about the same thing: how quality care at home helps people hold on to their independence, dignity and quality of life," said Simon Yeoman, Managing Director of Trinity Homecare Group.

For Country Cousins, which has more than 60 years' experience in live-in care and companionship, the show reinforced a trend the brand is seeing nationally. "We had some great conversations and saw strong interest from people planning ahead as well as those needing more immediate support," a member of the Country Cousins team said. "We also spoke with families going through more difficult situations, and it was reassuring to know we could hopefully support them in the future."

Patricia White's, which provides live-in and visiting care, used the day to talk families through the practical challenges of arranging support for a loved one, from maintaining independence at home to understanding the different care options available.

Trinity Homecare, rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission, met residents from across Sussex and the surrounding areas to discuss home and live-in care, alongside those interested in careers in the sector.
