Forget Me Not Café for People Living with Dementia
Since opening in November 2025, Forget Me Not Café has quickly become a valued and much-loved part of our local community. Although the group is still relatively new, it continues to grow, welcoming new faces each month while seeing familiar friends return. Our sessions are aimed towards people living with dementia, memory loss, and other similar conditions. The café provides a safe, welcoming space where everyone feels included, valued, and understood.
Right at Home Reigate & Crawley are proud to partner with Woodhatch Community Centre, whose support and collaboration make the café possible. Every month, we plan a variety of enjoyable and meaningful activities to help stimulate our guests, spark memories, and encourage conversation. From creative themed activities to gentle games and exercise, every session is designed with wellbeing, enjoyment, and connection in mind.
Carers and loved ones also benefit greatly, gaining time to relax, share experiences, and meet others who understand the joys and challenges of caring for someone living with memory loss.
The impact of the café is best described by those who attend. A guest recently shared:
“This is great, it is just what I needed. I have been feeling lost and am so glad I came across it. I have felt so welcomed.”
None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and partners. The Forget Me Not Café is a reminder that sometimes, a warm welcome, a friendly conversation, and a sense of community can make all the difference and we are proud to be part of it.
