The Five Nations Care Forum met in Nottingham this week. The communique is formed of care providers from across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland.

The themes of discussion included: funding, regulations, workforce pressures and the demands of the Covid-19 Inquiry. Alongside the important role pharmacies play in providing support to those who receive care. With the forum stating: “The Pharmacist is a vital part of the health and social care sector and we want to see their role developed, alongside our governments understanding, that they need to be properly resourced to deliver sustainable strategies on immunisation, drug administration and prevention.”

The next Five Nations Forum will be held in Dublin in October 2024. With an agenda focused on commissioning and innovation.
