Care First 24 Ltd Receives an Outstanding CQC Rating

Good News - Aug 2026 - CareFirst24.png

Care First 24 Ltd is proud to announce that, following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we have been awarded an Outstanding rating for our Supported Living and Domiciliary Care services.

A message from our Managing Director and Registered Manager, Lynn James-Wellings

We are incredibly proud to have achieved an Outstanding CQC rating for both our Supported Living and Domiciliary Care services. This recognition belongs to every member of the Care First 24 family.

This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of a team that places people at the heart of everything we do. Every day, our colleagues work tirelessly to ensure that the people we support, and the people who support them, feel valued, listened to, respected, and empowered.

A few years ago, I was told that putting care before everything else was the wrong business model. This achievement demonstrates exactly the opposite. We have always believed that when people come first, excellence follows. In my view, truly outstanding care can only be achieved when the well-being of people remains the organisation's highest priority.

We waited almost four years for this inspection. During that time, Care First 24 grew from a small team to a large group of dedicated people, all committed to delivering the highest quality care to those who rely on us. This Outstanding rating reflects the dedication, resilience, and professionalism of every individual who has contributed to our journey, alongside the recognition we have received through numerous industry awards.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported Care First 24 over the years and to those who contributed to the inspection process. Your encouragement, expertise, and belief in our vision have played an important part in this achievement.

To every care professional who supports our people with care needs, I commend your skills and professionalism.  Thank you for the compassion, professionalism, and commitment you demonstrate each and every day. You make an extraordinary difference to people's lives, and I am immensely proud to work alongside you.

To our exceptional Senior Management, Clinical, Operations, Delivery, and Marketing teams, thank you for your leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence. You are amazing, and I am so lucky to have you all.

Finally, to the people who choose Care First 24 to support them and to their families: thank you for placing your trust in us. You are at the centre of everything we do. This Outstanding rating strengthens our commitment to continually improve, to deliver the highest standards of care, and to remain true to our promise of always putting ‘Care First.’

Unique Senior Care Celebrates Sixth Consecutive National Top 20 Home Care Group Award

Good News - Aug 2026 - Unique Senior Care.png

Unique Senior Care has celebrated its most successful year yet in the homecare.co.uk Top 20 Awards, receiving national recognition for the sixth consecutive year alongside a regional award for its Solihull service.

The Warwickshire-based provider has once again been named among the Top 20 Home Care Groups in the UK, marking its sixth consecutive year receiving the national award. In addition, its Solihull service, including its Outstanding-rated live-in care service, has been recognised as one of the Top 20 Home Care Providers in the West Midlands.

The awards are based on verified reviews from clients and their families, making them a genuine reflection of the experiences of the people receiving care. All eligible providers listed on homecare.co.uk are automatically considered, with winners determined using review scores alongside regulatory compliance requirements.

Unique Senior Care also remains the only Warwickshire-based home care provider to receive a national Top 20 Home Care Group Award in 2026.

The recognition comes at a time when home care continues to play an increasingly important role in supporting people to live safely and independently at home. More than 638,000 people across the UK receive home care, supported by over 858,000 care professionals. With demand expected to continue growing over the coming years, trusted, high-quality home care has never been more important.

Unique Senior Care provides visiting care across Solihull, Coventry & Kenilworth and South Warwickshire, alongside its Outstanding-rated live-in care service, which supports people throughout England. The organisation helps older adults and people with care needs remain in the place they know and love by providing personalised support ranging from companionship and personal care to specialist dementia and live-in care.

Phil Wright Howarth, Director of Unique Senior Care, said:

"What makes these awards so important to us is that they're decided by the people who matter most, our clients and their families. They're not based on a written submission or presentation; they're based on real experiences of the care we provide every day.

"Winning a national Top 20 Home Care Group Award for the sixth consecutive year is something we're incredibly proud of. To also see our Solihull service recognised with a regional Top 20 Provider Award makes this our most successful year yet. I'd like to thank every client and family who has taken the time to leave a review, and every member of our team whose kindness and professionalism have made these awards possible."

The homecare.co.uk Top 20 Awards are among the most respected accolades in the home care sector, recognising providers that consistently achieve exceptional feedback from the people they support. Unlike many industry awards, organisations do not submit entries. Instead, awards are determined using verified client and family reviews alongside regulatory compliance requirements, making them one of the sector's most trusted indicators of quality.
