Wales Consultation to Remove Profit in Children’s Care

The Welsh Government want your views on implementing the removal of profit from children’s care services starting April 2026. The proposals aim to change how providers register, submit annual returns, and comply with monitoring and enforcement rules. The goal is to 'eliminate private profit from the care of children looked after’ and reinvest resources into better social care for children.
