Nurturing Innovation in Care Home Excellence in Leeds (NICHE Leeds) are hosting a free workshop on Wednesday 20 November 3:30-6:30pm to discuss the workforce shortages across social care and how to address them.
Panellist include:

- Neil Eastwood, Founder and CEO, Care Friends
- Oonagh Smyth, Chief Executive, Skills for Care
- Karen Spilsbury, Professor of Nursing and Academic Director, NICHE-Leeds (Nurturing Innovation in Care Home Excellence)
- Peter Hodkinson, Managing Director of Westward Care and Chair of Leeds Care Association.
The online event will begin at 3.30pm. It will include the performance of a spoken play Fighting for Life which sets the scene for some of the key issues for debate. This will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Question and Answer session.
NICHE Leeds is an active partnership between those who work in care homes and academia. They focus on enhancing quality of care, life and work in care homes. This event is open to all with an interest in social care, not just for care homes. More information about the partnership can be found here.
