  • Dominique Kent continues as Chair of the Board and Lesley Megarity as Honorary Secretary.

Homecare Association’s Chair, Dominique Kent, said:

“It is a great pleasure to welcome homecare providers currently operating services across the UK to represent the sector. As the UK’s membership body for homecare providers, with over 2,340 members nationally, the Homecare Association’s mission is to work together to ensure that homecare is valued, so that all of us can live well at home and flourish within our communities. The Homecare Association takes the lead in shaping homecare, in collaboration with partners across the care sector, and provides hands-on support and practical tools for its members.

As a Board, our role is to provide strong leadership. It is essential that our strategic direction and governance is developed and overseen by members elected from within the diverse experience and knowledge of our membership.

Collectively, we won’t stop making sure the importance and value of care at home is recognised and receives the investment it deserves.

We’ll use our trusted voice to hold tough conversations with those in power and inspire public support for homecare.”

“We greatly value and appreciate all the homecare providers who devote their time and expertise to support the work of the Board and contribute to the future development of the organisation. I am particularly grateful for the contribution made by our colleagues standing down at the end of their periods of office this year.

“Once again this year, we received more nominations for the board than were places available, and more members voted than in previous years. We are delighted by the level of interest and would also like to thank each of the nominees for their desire to shape the future of the Association. We believe that this shows the high level of engagement from our membership with their national professional association. We are committed to enabling all our members to contribute to our work.

Let’s create power in numbers.

Let’s stand together, to make what matters stand out.

Let’s shape homecare together.”

Ends.
