National Office for Care and Support officially launched in Wales

The Welsh Government have officially launched the National Office for Care and Support.

The Office will be staffed by civil service staff and will initially focus on the following key areas:

• supporting the Chief Social Care Officer for Wales in their role
• development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of the National Care Service for Wales
• implementation and ongoing management of the national commissioning framework for care and support in Wales

The establishment of the Office follows last year's Rebalancing Care consultation and will have a key role in coordinating efforts to develop a National Care Service in Wales going forwards.
