Digital Social Care hosted a webinar on improving data and cyber security practices for small homecare providers.
Advice was given on the implementation of a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy if staff use their own mobiles. Alongside other safety provisions, including encryption applications to protect communications between staff and a template business continuity plan to cover data and cyber security.
The webinar also reminded attendees of the cyber security awareness training, which teaches staff how to identify unsafe practices that can lead to a cyber-attack. And the free support available to complete the Data Security Protection Toolkit, the annual self-assessment tool that helps providers improve their data and cyber security arrangements.
