The Digital Care Hub has launched a new communication checklist for homecare providers.  This is designed to help them prepare for a cyber incident by completing the checklist, keeping it up to date and storing it offline, alongside the provider’s business continuity plan.

The checklists include practical steps to take in responding to a cyber incident and remind providers to identify key roles, keep printed and offline copies of important contacts, agree back-up communication routes, prepare short holding statements and practise their response at least once a year. They also include what to do when an incident begins, stakeholder updates and post-incident review.

There is also a version of the checklist for residential care providers.
