Have your say on terms of reference of COVID-19 Public Inquiry

A consultation has been launched on Draft terms of reference for the public inquiry into the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bereaved families and other affected groups, including those in the social care, have a four-week window to comment on the draft terms of reference before they are published in final form.

The draft terms cover the UK's preparedness and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the response of the UK health and care sector, the economic response and impact, and lessons to be learned for any future pandemic.

The Homecare Assocation will be looking closely to ensure the draft terms of reference sufficently cover the issues that affected, and continue to affect, our sector.

At this stage the consultation is about what the Inquiry should look into and how it should act, rather than what evidence people could give to the Inquiry, or specific experiences of the pandemic.

Complete the Inquiry's online survey on Terms of Reference by 7 April.

You cna find our response here.

The Scottish government is to hold its own Covid-19 inquiry, led by Judge Lady Poole. Terms of reference are here.
