The Government has published the Adult Social Care Workforce Survey which covers over 9000 respondents’ views on staff recruitment, staff morale, accessing agency staff and assistance from the Government.

Guidance for round two of the Workforce Recruitment and Retention Fund (WRRF) was published on the same day. This provides an additional £300 million is to support local authorities working with providers to boost staffing and supporting existing care work throughout the winter. This money is in addition to the existing £162.5 million WRRF announced on 21 October.

A message from DHSC:

We would like to thank you for your input into the survey and for your feedback on the Workforce Capacity Fund which has helped to inform both the October and the December WRRFs.
