Whole city testing pilot in Liverpool
Liverpool will be undertaking a whole city testing pilot, where everyone living or working in Liverpool will be offered testing whether or not they have symptoms.
Existing swab tests will be combiend with 'lateral flow tests' which can provide rapid results to test residents and identify and isolate asymptomatic cases to break chains of transmission.
Liverpool City Council, which will be supported by military personnel in delivering the logistics of the task, will be setting out how to access testing later this week.
