Scotland sets maximum gathering at six people from two households indoors or outdoors
The Scottish Government is to set a maximum gathering at six people from two households indoors or outdoors from 14 September.
Children under 12 from within the two households will not be counted in the new limit. The restrictions won't apply where there is other sector specific guidance in force, for example for gyms, for childcare or for organised sports, and there will be some other limited exceptions for larger households, education, and places of worship. It does apply to hospitality.
Scotland remains in Phase 3, with route map changes planned for 14 September postponed until 5 October, and a final decision being taken nearer the time, depending on transmission rates.
