Provisional local government finance settlement announced for England 2021/22
The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government have published the full details of the funding settlement for councils in England in 2021/22.
There will be a £2.2bn increase in funding for core spending including an extra £1 billion for social care. The social care funding comes from a £300 million social care grant and a 3% Adult Social Care Council Tax precept.
