What our joint vision means for people and communities this winter

The NHS Confederation has issued a briefing, with the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services and Local Government Association, setting out a vision for a high-quality and sustainable health and care system.  This includes developing more effective ways of keeping people out of hospital by investing in much more home and community support and supporting a recovery approach so people can return to living independently. The briefing calls for investment in prevention and early intervention, the creation of frameworks that allow long-term planning, and for Government to deliver a long-term funding plan for both health and social care.

Keep learning for success

Until the end of March, Skills for Care is supporting everyone working in adult social care to #KeepLearning by highlighting the importance of learning and development, training and funding opportunities available in 2023 and benefits of continual professional development.
