New COVID-19 control plan for Wales

The First Minister has outlined a new COVID-19 control plan for Wales. The plan includes four 'alert levels'. The lowest level (one) represents relatively low risk and the closest to normality we are likely to see before widespread vaccination. The highest is level four - very high risk - and this represents a full lockdown. Wales is currently at level three - high risk.

The First Minister has emphasised that the situation in Wales is very serious and that there is the possibility of moving to alert level four following Christmas should things not improve.
