MPs hear evidence of how homecare workers are coping in the pandemic
Jo Da Siva, careworker at UKHCA members Agincare, gave powerful evidence to yesterday's meeting of the Health and Social Care Committee on the pressures facing the homecare workforce in the pandemic.
Jo said homecare workers would welcome greater recognition of the vital role they play supporting people at home, and the skill they have shown, in what have been very difficult circumstances. They would like parity with other people, like those working in health.
The Committee is investigating workforce burnout and resilience in the NHS and social care.
