Homecare Association response to the Hewitt Review on governance of ICSs

The Homecare Association has responded to the Hewitt Review's call for evidence. The Review is considering the oversight and governance arrangements for Integrated Care Systems (ICSs).

In our response, we call for ICSs to ensure that social care providers are included in decision making. We highlight how existing commissioning practices can stifle innovation and outline the need for data collection to be streamlined and transparent. National targets for ICSs must include social care targets in their own right, and not solely focus on healthcare.
