Further local restrictions announced to tackle rising infection rates
Further restrictions are to be introduced in parts of North West, Midlands and West Yorkshire from 22 September to curb rising coronavirus infection rates.
Government press release, which has more detail on the restrictions. These have been agreed with local leaders and will be accompanied by regulations and guidance.
New restrictions have also been applied to the North East of England - further details here.
