Former Policy, Practice and Innovation Director at the Homecare Association (previously United Kingdom Homecare Association), Colin Angel, has been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List 2024 for services to domiciliary care.

Following a career as a registered nurse and an operational manager at two national health and social care provider organisations, Colin worked at the Association for 17 years, after joining in 2004.

James Bullion, previously the Executive Director of Adult Social Service at Norfolk County Council and President of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), received a CBE.

Kathy Roberts, Chief Executive Officer at the Association of Mental Health Providers, picked up an MBE. Others awarded an MBE in the social care sector included Alison Murray (Deputy Director of Adult Social Care at CQC), Dr Christine Futter (lately Chief Operating Officer at Norfolk and Suffolk Care Support) and Jonathan White (Economist at the Department of Health and Social Care).

We congratulate all those in the sector who have been recognised in the Honours List.
