First Minister announces 'fire-break' for Wales
First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced there will be a short, sharp a 'fire-break' in Wales from 6pm on Friday 23 October 2020, ending on Monday 9 November, to tackle rising rates of COVID-19.
This will apply to everyone living in Wales and will replace the local restrictions which are in force in some parts of the country.
The restrictions will be similar to the national lockdown that took place earlier this year.
There will be a nearly £300 million support package for businesses in Wales, to complement wage-support schemes available from the UK government.
