Employers won't have to pay National Insurance on Test and Trace Support Payments

HMRC have published a measure saying National insurance will not have to be paid by employers on payments made under the Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme in England. These payments are made to employees who are on a low income and have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace.

This measure will come into effect from 22 October 2020.
