Celebrations to mark five years of providing care

Right at Home Isle of Wight has celebrated five years of providing care to people across the local community.

The award-winning franchise marked the milestone with a celebration at The Birdham Hotel and Restaurant in Bembridge, where staff and their families came together for an afternoon of recognition and thanks.

The festivities included a buffet lunch and a speech from Owners Vicky and Paul Butler, who thanked their team for their commitment to delivering life-enhancing care, empowering Clients to remain comfortable and independent in their own homes.

“As we celebrate this anniversary, we reflect with pride on how far we have come and look forward with excitement to the future. We remain committed to delivering outstanding care, supporting our staff to grow and thrive, and continuing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve,” the Owners said.

“Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. Here's to the next five years and beyond!”

Vicky and Paul opened Right at Home Isle of Wight in Bembridge in 2019, later expanding with a second office in Shanklin to reach more local families and create additional job opportunities.

Today, they employ 63 staff who deliver personalised care services to local adults.

Their work is widely praised by local families. One relative said: “Eighteen years and eight care agencies, and we’ve finally found a company that genuinely cares and ensures their clients have the best quality of life. Thank you, Vicky, Paul and the team. Keep making a difference. Everyone deserves the care Right at Home Isle of Wight delivers.”

Right at Home Isle of Wight, rated Outstanding by industry regulator, the Care Quality Commission, has also won multiple awards for their positive impact on the community.

Last December, the care provider rallied local businesses and volunteers to host a Christmas Day lunch for people who would otherwise have spent the festive period alone.

In 2022, the team the Older Persons Good Living Show to highlight Island businesses and services that help older people remain independent at home. The fourth annual event, held in July at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, welcomed over 250 visitors and featured 40 exhibitors.

Most recently, in August, Right at Home Isle of Wight hosted a quiz night at The Old Village Inn in Bembridge, raising over £200 to support its monthly dementia‑friendly Afternoon Tea Club.
