After receiving more than 400 nominations from colleagues, clients and service users across the organisation, Hales Group is proud to announce the finalists for the Hales Group Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate individuals and teams who consistently go above and beyond, making a meaningful difference while embodying the organisation’s values across both Hales Homecare and Hales Jobs.

Radfield Home care Liverpool North/Sefton & Ormskirk support Special Recognition Award Presented to Karen Berry for Outstanding Contribution to Independent retirement Living
A special award presentation took place today at The Fountains Independent Retirement Living in Ormskirk, recognising House Manager Karen Berry for her outstanding contribution and dedication to supporting residents to live independently within their community.
The award was proudly presented by the Mayor of West Lancashire, Anne Fennell, during a heartwarming celebration attended by residents, guests, and community partners. Residents at The Fountains spoke highly of Karen, praising her for consistently going above and beyond in her role and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone living within the development. Many residents commented that they “would not want to live anywhere else” thanks to the care, encouragement, and sense of community Karen helps to provide every day.
Guests enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea celebration with a selection of cakes kindly supported by Mr Thompson Bakery in Ormskirk, alongside teas, coffees, and a welcome glass of Prosecco. Radfield Home Care also expressed pride in supporting FirstPort independent retirement living establishments like the fountains across Ormskirk, Crosby, Southport, Birkdale and Formby through regular community outings, coach trips, and social engagement activities that promote independence, wellbeing, and enriched lifestyles while living independently at home.
Speaking during the event, Karen Berry thanked residents, colleagues, guests and Redfield home care for their support and shared an emotional message with attendees:
“Thank you everyone. I enjoy working here at The Fountains, but most of all it is wonderful seeing you all living together happily, healthy, feeling safe and living independently within our own community.”
The event highlighted the importance of community spirit, independence, and the positive impact dedicated individuals like house manager Karen Berry have on the lives of residents every day who live at independent retirement living establishments. Radfield Home care continue to support independent retirement living establishments who enjoy their independence and daily lifestyles.
