Care bubbles now exempt from interhousehold mixing restrictions

Informal childcare for those under 14 and caring arrangements for vulnerable adults will be allowed in local areas under current restrictions in England which ban household mixing, and all future areas.

The exemption, which comes into force from 22 September 2020, means that a relative or friend can care for a child or vulnerable adult from a different household, as well as the formal childcare provided by registered childcare professionals.
