Anthony Collins Solicitors have summarised key changes to adult social care services and health services will be commissioned and procured in a new briefing. This follows the Procurement Act 2023 receiving royal assent and the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 being laid before parliament.

The briefing considers the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), which comes into effect from 1 January 2024 for the procurement of health services, and looks ahead to changes in the procurement of adult social care services from October 2024, under the new Procurement Act 2023.

The briefing suggests that organisations which stand to benefit from the changes are suppliers who have been delivering health and social care services successfully and have built strong relationships with their commissioner and service users.

More information and discussion in the briefing.
