The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 introduces important updates to UK digital information laws, amending the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.

In response to this new legislation, we are pleased to announce an update to our Specimen Privacy Notice Relating to the Supply of Care Services.

What’s new in the template?

  • Guidance on artificial intelligence use
  • Advice on when a data protection impact assessment is required
  • Advice on relying on 'legitimate interests' ground for processing personal data
  • A 30-day deadline for acknowledging receipt of complaints.

Who is the Specimen Privacy Notice for?

The Specimen Privacy Notice is designed for care and support service providers -whether publicly or privately funded - to support their GDPR compliance requirements.

Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP, the Homecare Association's preferred solicitors, drafted and updated the template, which is suitable for use across all four UK administrations.

You can adapt the template, which is intended for your customers, to address the personal data of care workers, using the same or a separate privacy notice.
