The Homecare Association's National Minimum Wage Toolkit, written by Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP, is specifically designed to help homecare providers ensure they are meeting NMW requirements within their workforce.

The Toolkit sets out the current law with practical examples and includes a step-by-step compliance assessment tool. It also contains a practical section for homecare providers written by the Homecare Association on possible actions to achieve compliance with the National Minimum Wage.

The Toolkit has been revised to reflect changes in National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage rates from 1 April 2026. This is when the National Living Wage increased to £12.71, the 18–20-year-old rate rose to £10.85, and the 16-17 and Apprentice rates both rose to £8.00 per hour, with the accommodation offset increasing to £11.10 per day. The update also includes legal clarification on deductions from pay for trade union membership and recent caselaw on pre-employment training.

With detailed guidance on complex topics like travel time, sleep-ins and on-call services, the Toolkit is intended to help you with your compliance.
