Yellow heat health alert issued for 12 to 15 June 2025

The Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have issued a yellow heat health alert which runs from 9pm on Thursday 12 June to 8am on 15 June and covers the East of England, East Midlands, London and South East regions.

A yellow alert relates to those who are more likely to be impacted by increased temperatures, such as the elderly or people on multiple medications.

There is an action card for health and social care providers that summarises the suggested actions that providers of health or social care should consider at each Heat-Health Alert level.

The Homecare Association also has Summer Planning Guidance, which covers a range of health and safety issues, including how to ensure people who are at risk stay hydrated and safe when temperatures rise: Summer Planning Guidance for homecare providers.
