Yellow weather warnings issued

The Met Office has issued three yellow weather warnings of snow and ice. 

The warning for East Midlands, North West England, Wales, West Midlands and Yorkshire & Humber operates from 19.00 on Monday, 18 November until 11.00 Tuesday, 19 November 2024.

The warning for Central, Tayside and Fife, Grampian, Highlands and Eilean Sia, Orkney and Shetland started at 16.00 on Monday 18 November and ends at 10.00 on Wednesday 20 November.

A warning for Northern Ireland is in place from 15.00 on 18 November to 10.00 on Tuesday 19 November.

Under a yellow alert, there may be an increased use of health care services by vulnerable populations and an increase in risk to health for individuals aged 65 years and over, those with pre-existing health conditions, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and some other vulnerable groups, such as those sleeping rough.
