The Welsh Government have produced a video on Cyber Resilience for the social care sector.

There have been updates on the progress of the procurement reforms underway in Wales (more releant to Local Authorities but may affect aspects of commissioning, such as social value): October; September

An update has been published on the work of the Disability Rights Taskforce - one of the sub-groups has been considering indpendent living and social care.

The Minister gave a statement summarising resilience and winter preparedness in the health and social care system.

The Welsh Government published a summary of the responses they had received to their consultation on a Single Unified Safeguarding Review. The majority of responses were supportive.

Social Care Wales have launched a new well-being service to support those going through fitness to practice reviews.

The All Wales Induction Framework website has now closed, following a change earlier this year in the registration routes. Social Care Wales hope to have a new digital resource to support employer assessment, which will be available in the new year. 

Older people and people with complex needs can be at higher risk of sight loss. Vision Friends provides free training funded by the Welsh Government that offers staff the skills to understand the needs of people with sight loss. The training covers: the most common eye conditions, spotting the early signs of sight loss, supporting people to eye tests, services to signpost into and how to make adaptations to allow people to be more independent.
