A new look national social care data portal has been launched to make it easier to find social care data: National Social Care Data Portal For Wales a new website is also under development which is intended to be a one-stop shop for information about social care research in Wales. Care Inspectorate Wales have also published a data tool based on their annual return data.

Social Care Wales will be amongst some additional public bodies that will be subject to the well-being duty of teh Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
