A brief summary of some of the research reports that have been published recently:
- Think Local Act Personal Insight Group have published a rapid evidence review seeking to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on the experience of people who receive care and support.
- The Women and Equalities Committee published a report on cornavirus, disability and access to services.
- A study by the University of Birmingham has found that lockdown is seriously affecting the mental health of informal carers.
- Independent Age have produced a report on mental health in later life.
- The Local Government Association have published research highlighting the fragmented nature of funding for local authorities.
- Some research has been undertaken to support the development of the new CQC strategy including a rapid literature review and a review of the CQC's impact on the quality of care.
- The Institute for Government held a webinar on "Can the government find a long-term solution for social care?"
