Proposed outline content for social care T-level

The Department for education has released a proposed outline of content for the new social care T-level that is due to begin enrolling pupils from 2028. The T-level will include core knowledge and skills for social care and five performance outcomes:

1. Gather, record and share information to support assessment and review processes
2. Assess the wellbeing of an individual using observation and feedback
3. Support team members by assiting with routine care tasks, following instructions and promoting positive working relationships
4. Apply sustainable practices when assisting with care activities
5. Assist in the review and evaluation of an individual's care needs and wellbeing for stakeholders
