Possible amendments to costs/expenses rules in Tribunals

The Tribunal Procedure Committee is consulting on changes to the rules around costs and expenses in Tribunals.

Tribunals can order one party to a proceeding to cover the costs incurred by the other party associated with the case in certain circumstances. This consultation will look at Tribunal's powers to order a party at the Tribunal to pay costs. The aim is to improve consistency, fairness and clarity.
