People with Down's Syndrome added to clinically extremely vulnerable adult list

The Government has added all adults who have Down's syndrome to the group of people who are considered to be clinically extremely vulnerable. This is the group who were previously advised to shield.

The Department of Health and Social Care has written to care providers to inform them of the addition of people with Down's Syndrome to the Shielding Patient List (SPL), to enable them to support individuals to follow the updated advice for this group.
