NHS and Social Care Life Assurance (Wales) Scheme

We received the following communication about the extension of the deadline for the NHS and Social Care Life Assurance Scheme in Wales, please communicate it to anyone you are aware of who might claim:

If a colleague sadly passed away due to Covid-19, their loved ones may be able to claim support through the NHS and Social Care Life Assurance (Wales) scheme.

This scheme pays £60,000 to beneficiaries in the event of a death of a member of the social care workforce from Covid where it was likely to have been contracted through their employment.

The scheme includes deaths that occurred during the pandemic up until 30 June 2022.

Claims can be submitted up until 30 September 2023.

Cynllun Sicrwydd Bywyd y GIG a Gofal Cymdeithasol (Cymru)

Os bu farw cydweithiwr yn anffodus oherwydd COVID-19, efallai y bydd ei anwyliaid yn gallu hawlio cymorth drwy gynllun Sicrwydd Bywyd y GIG a Gofal Cymdeithasol (Cymru).

Mae’r cynllun yn talu £60,000 i fuddiolwyr mewn digwyddiad o farwolaeth aelod o’r gweithlu gofal cymdeithasol oherwydd COVID-19 pan fo’n debygol eu bod wedi ei ddal drwy eu cyflogaeth.

Mae’r cynllun yn cynnwys marwolaethau a ddigwyddodd yn ystod y pandemig hyd nes 30 Mehefin 2022.

Gellir cyflwyno ceisiadau hyd nes 30 Medi 2023.
