Webinar: Provider selection regime: Impact on health and social care providers:
Anthony Collins Solicitors are running the webinar due to new legislation which is coming into force in January that will affect commissioning practice. This webinar will look at the new processes. ASC workforce strategy update:
In October Skills for Care announced their plans to develop a new workforce strategy for adult social care. CEO, Oonagh Smyth and steering group co-chair, Sir David Pearson have written a new blog outlining the importance of implementing a strategy for the sector.


Pre-employment checks for health and care volunteers: consultation outcome:
Feedback and engagement from stakeholders explored whether the requirement for Health and Social Care volunteers to provide a full employment history can be removed. The consultation ran from 19 September to 18 November. The full response can be found here.


Digital Care Hub: A review of 2023:
Michelle Corrigan, Programme Director of Better Security, Better Care has written a blog reflecting on the achievements throughout 2023 and outlines her predictions for the new year. Read more here.


ADASS announce new joint Chief Executive:
The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) have appointed Anna Hemmings as joint Chief Executive Officer, alongside Cathie Williams. More information can be found here.
