Guiding principles for delegated healthcare

The Department of Health and Social Care and Skills for Care published voluntary guiding principles to support person-centred, safe and effective delegation of healthcare activities to care colleagues in eligible care settings in England, earlier this year.  Providers are encouraged to use the guiding principles, adapting them locally where necessary to complement existing best practice.

With NHS and social care services facing enormous challenges, Healthwatch England has launched a new plan setting out how its new strategic direction will help decision-makers use public feedback to improve care and involve communities in decisions about their health and care services.
 

Prepayment meter customers urged to claim energy support

Electricity suppliers, charities and consumer groups are joining forces with government to make sure households with traditional prepayment meters avoid missing out on £400 worth of help with their bills before 30 June 2023. Recent figures show over 83 percent of vouchers have now been used. However, with a month left of the scheme, the Government is renewing its efforts to see as many vouchers redeemed as possible.
