National Action Plan to Prevent the Abuse of Older People (Wales)

The Welsh Government have developed a new Action Plan to prevent the abuse of older people in Wales. Actions include, amongst other things: supporting leadership and management and cultures in social care services that emphasise rights, dignity, voice and awareness/prevention of abuse to older people; publishing ratings for social care services; to develop a national 'train the trainer' programme on safeguarding and via the Social Care Fair Work Forum progressing work to improve the pay, conditions and training of the care workforce in Wales.
