MSPs hear evidence on care regulator's response to pandemic

MSPs on the Scottish Parliament's Health and Sport Committee heard evidence recently from the Care Inspectorate on their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although much of the session focused on care homes, MSPs also wanted to hear about care at home services.

The Care Inspectorate said they are in the process of completing an inquiry into care at home services, which should be published in three or four weeks. The regulator has kept in close touch with providers during the pandemic to provide support and monitor their concerns, and those of the public.

Care Inspectorate report on its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which formed part of its submission to MSPs.

Minutes of the Health and Sport Committee, 25 August 2020, Care at home is mentioned on pages 48 and 49.
