The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place from 11 to 17 May, is action to support good mental health.

The House of Commons Library has issued a research briefing which looks at action to support good mental health of individuals, evidence around actions to support population mental health, and government activity.

The briefing refers to NHS recommendations for five evidence-based actions people can take to improve their mental health, as well as a suggested reading list.

The Mental Health Foundation has also published Resources on getting involved in Mental Health Awareness Week.
