Hot weather alert issued
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office have issued a Level 3 Heat-Health alert for London, East of England and the South East. This means high temperatures are expected in these regions, peaking on Friday 17 June.
To help members prepare for the impact of hot weather on people who receive homecare services, and staff who provide essential support, the Homecare Association has issued Summer Planning Guidance.
The guidance covers a range of health and safety issues, including how to ensure people who are at risk stay hydrated and safe when temperatures rise.
