The Disclosure and Barring Service has launched DBS Discussions: Safeguarding in Focus, a podcast series covering DBS checks, eligibility and the barring process.
Each episode features a DBS subject expert who discusses key topics for employers, HR professionals, and safeguarding practitioners. In the debut episode, Regional Outreach Manager Jordan Hayden introduces the DBS function, explores the impact of checks in recruitment, and explains why DBS holds its position as a trusted safeguarding organisation.
The podcast explains DBS processes, answers common employer questions, provides clarity on eligibility and regulated activity, and supports better understanding of DBS’s safeguarding role.
