Consultation on reporting injuries at work (RIDDOR)
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is updating the regulations around reporting workplace injuries. Currently, employers are required to report serious injuries at work via The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR). The HSE is looking at how to improve reporting forms, to allow for health professionals other than doctors to diagnose occupational disease, to update the list of occupational diseases and to clarify terms to increase transparency.
The consultation is open until 30 June 2026
