Children’s Social Care Inquiry
The House of Lords Public Services Committee has launched an inquiry into children's social care. The inquiry is broad including:
- changing demand
- local authority funding
- supply of residential placements
- the impact of market management measures within the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act
- fostering
- workforce
- regulation
- outcomes for care-experienced children
The Inquiry is accepting written evidence until 26 October 2026.
