New survey findings from ADASS (Association of Directors of Adult Social Services) show that more than half a million people are now waiting for an adult social care assessment, for care or a direct payment to begin or for a review of their care.
Homecare Association members Caremark Redcar and Cleveland have been featured on BBC News discussing the issues raised in the report:
"There are less people coming into the care industry simply because of the poor wages homecare staff get" says Michelle Jackson, MD of Homecare Association members @CaremarkLtd @CaremarkRedcar, discussing the impact of the careworker shortages on @BBCBreakfast this morning: https://t.co/9q6ZXmBTKU
